AI Promotional Video for Ceipal: Recruiting AI Shown by Its Output
Ceipal needed recruiters to see that its platform does more than parse resumes, and that its AI does real hiring work. This AI promotional video opens on the recruiter's complaint, "a pile of resumes", then shows the AI by what it hands back: ranked candidates, applicant profiles, a drafted email and a booked interview.

The problem: every recruiting tool says "AI"
Ceipal sells to teams that hire at volume, and its own pitch to them is that staffing and recruitment don't have to be "a pile of resumes and too much manual work". A recruiter has heard "automation" and "AI" from many tools before, so the words alone tell them nothing new.
A recruiter judges the AI by what it hands back: which candidates rise to the top, what it knows about each one, and how fast the first email and interview happen. The video had to show those outputs in about a minute, to 4 kinds of buyer at once.
How the video gets from a pile of resumes to a booked interview
On-screen text carries every line, so the video reads with the sound off. Select a time to play that scene above.
| Time | On screen | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| "Ceipal" and "More Than Just A Recruitment platform" on white, then on black: "Recruitment doesn't have to be a pile of resumes" and "And too many tabs to toggle". | Names the recruiter's pain before the product. | |
| "Automate High-volume tasks with" over a cloud of bubbles: candidate photos, "Procurewise VMS", "ATS", "Diversity Hiring", "Workforce Management", all gathered beside the "Ceipal" name. | Shows the tools and people Ceipal pulls into 1 place. | |
| "Do more than resume parsing", candidate cards with "Collect", "Applicants data", "Onboard desired", "Candidates instantly" and a role menu from "Economic Buyer" to "Decision Maker", then the Ceipal app in a browser under "Streamline Total Talent Acquisition", with "No more hiring silos" and "Automation, powered by AI". | Moves past parsing to the steps that follow it. | |
| "Improve results", then "Govern your entire recruitment workflow in a platform" branching to "Staffing", "Corporate Recruiting", "Systems Integrators" and "Managed Services Programs (MSPs)", then "Make your big move". | Lets each buyer type find itself on screen. | |
| "Let AI Simplify hiring...", then "Candidate Ranking": Cathy C, Dirk C. Billups, John J. Flowers and Sandra W. Bell rated "Excellent" with stars, then "Candidate Analytics" and a wall of applicant profiles. | Shows the AI by its output: a ranked list and full profiles. | |
| "Candidate Engagement", "Two-way email sync", an email drafting on screen ("It was nice talking to you, Diana. I'd like to know more about your"), then "Scheduling" with an "Interview details" card for Nov 22, 2023, 1:00 to 2:00 PM. | Carries the hire from ranking to outreach to interview. | |
| "Get productive with Ceipal" between 2 smiling faces, then the Ceipal logo on white. | Ends on the promise and the brand. |

4 decisions behind the Ceipal AI promotional video
Decision 1
Open on the recruiter's complaint
Before any feature, 0:05 reads "Recruitment doesn't have to be a pile of resumes" and 0:08 adds "And too many tabs to toggle".
Copy it: Open on the sentence your buyer already says about their week, then bring in the product.
Decision 2
Show the AI by what it hands back
"Let AI Simplify hiring..." at 0:35 is followed at 0:37 by "Candidate Ranking": 4 named candidates rated "Excellent", not an abstract brain or network.
Copy it: For every AI claim in your script, show the output a user gets: a ranked list, a profile, a drafted email.
Decision 3
Name every buyer type on 1 screen
From 0:29 to 0:32 the workflow line branches into "Staffing", "Corporate Recruiting", "Systems Integrators" and "Managed Services Programs (MSPs)".
Copy it: If you sell to several segments, give each a label on screen so every viewer sees their own name.
Decision 4
Order features like a hire
The features follow the steps of a hire: collect applicants (0:21), onboard candidates (0:22), rank them (0:37), engage them (0:47), book the interview (0:54).
Copy it: List your features in the order your user meets them, and cut the video in that order.
From Ceipal's platform screens to a 1-minute AI promo
- Script around the hire. The script was built on Ceipal's own line about resumes and manual work, then ordered from collecting applicants to scheduling the interview.
- Graphic assets. The bubble cloud, candidate cards, workflow lines and gradient shapes were designed in Ceipal's blue to orange colors.
- Custom UI animation. Ceipal screens were animated: the browser app, ranked candidate cards, applicant profiles, the email and the interview card.
- Motion graphics and kinetic text. Each line, from "Do more than resume parsing" to "Get productive with Ceipal", was set as animated text on black.
- Compositing and effects. Glows, light lines and gradients were layered to tie scenes together.
- Sound, music and grade. Sound design and music were made for the cut, then the video was color graded and edited to 1:03.
Scope of work:
Production took 3 to 4 weeks on a budget of $1,200 to $2,000. See the SaaS video production service for how a project like this is scoped.
