The problem: a version 2.0 has to beat the scanner the practice already trusts

The VistaScan Mini Easy 2.0 follows a model with a long run in dental practices. That history helps and hurts. A dentist who owns the first scanner and is happy with it has little reason to replace it, so "new" alone does not sell.

Dürr Dental's own launch list names what changed: "PCS technology for exceptional image quality", an "Easy Feed concept", a "Hygienic, high-resolution glass display" and "intelligent automation functions" with VistaScan IQ image plates. The video had to carry the old model's reputation forward and then make each of those changes visible on the hardware.

From launch list to 3D render: how the VistaScan video was made

3D scanner model. The VistaScan Mini Easy 2.0, its glass top, plate slot and the IQ image plate box were built as 3D models.
Texture mapping. Casing, glass and printed plate codes were textured so close-ups hold up at full screen.
Dark studio lighting. A dark set with blue edge light was built so the white scanner and the titles stand out.
