SaaS Teaser Video for Talentium TED: An AI Recruiter Named in 19 Seconds

Talentium needed a SaaS teaser video to announce TED, its AI assistant for recruiters, as a sneak peek before the full product story. Advids built 19 seconds of kinetic type around a 3D star that becomes the TED mark, one category line, "The fully automated recruiting platform", and an end card that holds "Start recruiting at talentium.io" for the last 6 seconds.

The problem: announcing an AI recruiter nobody has seen yet

Talentium's YouTube description says TED automates repetitive tasks, reaches out to candidates and gives smart recommendations. That is 3 features, and a teaser has under 20 seconds. Try to demo all 3 and the recruiter watching remembers none of them, and not the name either.

So the teaser drops the features and keeps 3 things a recruiter can carry away: the name "ted", the category line "The fully automated recruiting platform", and the address "talentium.io". The full product story is left for later, as the description says: "Stay tuned to see how TED can transform your recruitment strategy!"

How 19 seconds introduce TED, scene by scene

There is no product screen in the teaser. Type and one 3D shape carry every line, so it reads with the sound off. Select a time to play that scene above.

TimeOn screenWhat it does
White words build one at a time on a dark backdrop: "The future of hiring is here".Names the buyer's topic, hiring, before any brand appears.
The camera pushes into "here with" until the words fill the frame, then a glossy blue 3D shape sweeps across it.Turns the line into a lead-in: something is about to arrive.
The 3D shape twists and settles into a 4-point star.Builds the symbol that stands for TED.
The star shrinks beside the lowercase wordmark "ted".Pairs the symbol with the product name in one frame.
"The fully automated recruiting platform", with "automated" set brighter than the other words.Gives the category and the one word to remember.
"Annnnnnnn" stretches across the screen and snaps back to "And", then "We are here to change things!" ends in large type.Holds a beat, then lands the mission line.
The Talentium mark with "Start recruiting at talentium.io", "talentium.io" in purple, held to the end.Leaves one action and the address on screen.

4 decisions behind the Talentium TED teaser

Decision 1

Open on hiring, not on Talentium

The first words, from 0:00 to 0:02, are "The future of hiring is here". A recruiter knows the video is about their work before the brand or the product appears.

Copy it: Make your first on-screen word the buyer's job, not your company name.

Decision 2

Turn the AI into a symbol

From 0:03 a glossy 3D shape twists into a 4-point star, and at 0:07 that star sits beside "ted". The name and the symbol are learned in the same frame.

Copy it: If your AI feature has an icon, animate the icon as the reveal and put the name next to it.

Decision 3

Stretch one word to buy a beat

At 0:09 "Annnnnnnn" stretches across the screen before it snaps back to "And" at 0:10. The pause sets up "We are here to change things!" without adding a new claim.

Copy it: In a short teaser, use timing on a small word to hold attention instead of adding another line.

Decision 4

Give the address a third of the runtime

The end card runs from 0:13 to 0:19, 6 of the 19 seconds, with only the Talentium mark and "Start recruiting at talentium.io".

Copy it: In a teaser under 20 seconds, hold the URL and one action on screen for at least 5 seconds.

From 4 lines of text to the TED reveal

  1. A 4-line script. The teaser was cut down to 4 lines: the hiring hook, the TED name, the category line and the mission line.
  2. Graphic assets. The TED star, the "ted" wordmark, the Talentium mark and the end card were designed for a dark backdrop.
  3. Kinetic type. Each line was animated word by word, with the push into "here with", the brighter "automated" and the stretched "And".
  4. 3D star motion. The glossy blue shape was animated to sweep across the frame and twist into the 4-point star.
  5. Compositing and grade. Glow, blur and the blue gradient behind the type were composited, then color graded.
  6. Sound and render. Sound was engineered to the cut points, then the 19-second teaser was rendered.

Scope of work:

  • Graphic asset design
  • 2D animation
  • Motion graphics
  • Visual effects compositing
  • Sound engineering
  • Voiceover synchronization
  • Final rendering
  • Color grading

Production took 3 to 4 weeks on a budget of $1,200 to $2,000. See the SaaS video production service for how a project like this is scoped.

Questions about the Talentium SaaS teaser video

Why does the Talentium teaser open on "The future of hiring is here" instead of the logo?

The hook names the recruiter's topic first, from 0:00 to 0:02. The brand only takes the screen at 0:13, once the viewer has the name "ted" and the category line.

How does the teaser introduce TED without showing the product?

From 0:03 to 0:06 a glossy blue 3D shape twists into a 4-point star, and at 0:07 the star sits beside the wordmark "ted". The features listed in the YouTube description, such as automating repetitive tasks and smart recommendations, are not shown at all. The teaser only has to make the name stick.

Which word does the TED teaser highlight, and why?

At 0:08 the line "The fully automated recruiting platform" sets "automated" brighter than the rest. It is the one word a recruiter should keep from the teaser.

What does the stretched "Annnnnnnn" at 0:09 do?

It holds a beat. The word stretches across the screen, snaps back to "And" at 0:10, and leads straight into "We are here to change things!", which lands in large type at 0:12.

Why does the end card stay on screen for 6 seconds?

From 0:13 to 0:19 the only things on screen are the Talentium mark and "Start recruiting at talentium.io". In a 19-second teaser that gives the viewer time to read and remember the address.

How long did the Talentium SaaS teaser video take, and what did it cost?

Production took 3 to 4 weeks on a budget of $1,200 to $2,000. The scope covered graphic asset design, 2D animation, motion graphics, compositing, sound, rendering and color grading.
