Product Launch Video for the Logitech G309: 4 Specs Hung on MIN and MAX
Logitech G needed a product launch video that could sell the G309 LIGHTSPEED mouse in 30 seconds to gamers who hear "light" and "fast" from every brand. Advids built it in 3D around one word pair, MIN and MAX: "86g" and "POIDS MIN" for weight, "300+ HOURS" and "AUTONOMIE MAX" for battery, then "LIMITES MIN" and "PERFORMANCES MAX" as the promise.

The problem: every gaming mouse claims light, fast and long battery
The YouTube description lists 4 features for the G309: LIGHTSPEED Wireless + Bluetooth, LIGHTFORCE Hybrid Switches, the HERO 25K Sensor and POWERPLAY Wireless Charging Compatible. Rival mice ship with spec lists that read much the same, and this video gets 30 seconds to make the list mean something.
A list of trademarks does not tell a gamer what to expect in the hand. The video had to give every spec one idea to hang on, put numbers where a player can compare them, and look like the screens the mouse is used on. Any tech launch with more features than seconds has the same problem.
How the G309 launch video sells 4 specs in 30 seconds
On-screen type carries every claim, so the video reads with the sound off. Most lines are in French, with English translations in brackets below. Select a time to play that scene above.
| Time | On screen | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Dark close-ups of the mouse shell while "MIN" and "MAX" trade places on screen. | Sets the word pair every later claim uses. | |
| "G309" in large type with the mouse sliding through it, then a 3D cutaway into the shell. | Names the product before any spec. | |
| An exploded wireframe of shell, battery cell and body, ringed by "86g" and an hours counter that stops at "300+ HOURS". Then "POIDS MIN" [minimum weight] at 0:09 and "AUTONOMIE MAX" [maximum battery life] at 0:10. | Puts a number on each half of the pair. | |
| A white and a black mouse cross the frame, "LIGHTFORCE" and "HYBRID SWITCHES" at 0:13, then a close-up of the white mouse's buttons. | Names the switch tech and shows both colors. | |
| The underside of the mouse with Bluetooth and wireless icons over the mode lights, then "LIGHTSPEED" and "SANS FIL" [wireless] in electric blue. | Shows the 2 ways it connects. | |
| The mouse on a glowing disc, then a light tunnel with a game HUD: lap times, a "MAX BATTERY" counter running from "159 HOURS" to "300+ HOURS", and "Boost!" at 0:20. | Moves the specs into the game where they are used. | |
| "LIMITES MIN" [minimum limits] over the black mouse at 0:24, then "PERFORMANCES MAX" over both colors at 0:26. | Turns the word pair into the promise. | |
| "G309" over both mice, "PLAYING", then "KEEP PLAYING" and the Logitech G mark. | Closes on the product name and the campaign line. |
Storyboard: the frames that carry the Logitech G309 product launch video
Key frames from the finished video, in order. Select a time to play that moment above.

The word pair arrives first: "MAX" over "MIN".
2 numbers ring the mouse before any word: weight and battery.
"POIDS MIN": the weight figure becomes the MIN claim.
"AUTONOMIE MAX": the battery figure becomes the MAX claim.
The switch tech gets its own type and the white model.
"LIGHTSPEED" and "SANS FIL" with arcs of electricity across the shell.
The battery claim returns inside a game HUD.
"LIMITES MIN": the first half of the promise.
"PERFORMANCES MAX": the second half, over both colors.
The close: the campaign line "KEEP PLAYING".
4 decisions behind the G309 launch video
Decision 1
Hang every spec on one word pair
"MIN" and "MAX" trade places from 0:01 to 0:04, return as "POIDS MIN" and "AUTONOMIE MAX" at 0:09, and close as "LIMITES MIN" and "PERFORMANCES MAX" at 0:24. Every spec in between is a min or a max.
Copy it: Pick 2 opposite words your product wins on. Sort each feature under one of them before you write a line.
Decision 2
Show the number before the word
At 0:08 "86g" and "300+ HOURS" ring the mouse. The words "POIDS MIN" and "AUTONOMIE MAX" only follow at 0:09 and 0:10.
Copy it: Let the figure land first and name it second, so the claim reads as proof, not as a slogan.
Decision 3
Give each trademark its own look
"LIGHTFORCE" gets wide white italics on sky blue at 0:13. "LIGHTSPEED" gets electric blue and lightning on dark purple at 0:16.
Copy it: If your product has several branded features, give each one a scene, a color and a type style so viewers can tell them apart.
Decision 4
Put the spec where it is used
From 0:19 to 0:22 the mouse rides a light tunnel under lap times, "Boost!" and a "MAX BATTERY" counter. The battery claim now sits inside a game screen.
Copy it: Show your number inside the buyer's own screen: a game, a dashboard or an IDE.
From a 2-color 3D model to a 30-second launch cut
- Model cleanup in 2 colors. The G309 was prepared in black and white, with a cutaway shell and a battery cell for the exploded view.
- MIN/MAX type plan. On-screen lines were set as pairs, so each spec lands as a min or a max.
- Texturing and lighting. Matte shells, the white model's gray grip and the glowing mode lights under the mouse were set to read in close-up.
- Animation. The exploded view, the lightning across the shell and the light tunnel were animated.
- Motion graphics and effects. Kinetic type, the game HUD, the hours counter and the electric arcs were built and composited over the renders.
- Color grade and sound design. The grade moves from dark purple to sky blue and back, and sound design paces each cut.
Scope of work:
Production took 3 to 4 weeks on a budget of $1,200 to $2,000. See the 3D video production service for how a project like this is scoped.
Questions about the Logitech G309 product launch video
Why does the Logitech G309 launch video open on "MIN" and "MAX"?
The pair is the frame for every claim that follows. "MIN" and "MAX" trade places from 0:01 to 0:04, then come back as weight and battery at 0:09 and as "LIMITES MIN" and "PERFORMANCES MAX" at 0:24.
What do the French lines in the G309 video say?
"POIDS MIN" means minimum weight, "AUTONOMIE MAX" maximum battery life, "SANS FIL" wireless, and "LIMITES MIN, PERFORMANCES MAX" minimum limits, maximum performance. Product names, "HYBRID SWITCHES", "MAX BATTERY" and "KEEP PLAYING" stay in English.
Which G309 specs does the video put numbers on?
2: weight and battery. At 0:08 "86g" and "300+ HOURS" ring the mouse, and at 0:21 the "MAX BATTERY" counter climbs to "300+ HOURS" again inside the game HUD.
How does the video show that the G309 is wireless?
At 0:15 the camera moves under the mouse, where Bluetooth and wireless icons sit over the mode lights. At 0:16 "LIGHTSPEED" and "SANS FIL" appear with lightning across the shell.
Why is there a game HUD in a mouse launch video?
From 0:19 lap times, a battery counter and "Boost!" put the specs on the kind of screen a gamer plays on. The claim stops being a number on a box and becomes part of a match.
What did a 30-second 3D launch video like this take?
3D model cleanup, texturing, lighting, animation, rendering, compositing, visual effects, motion graphics, sound design and a final color grade. Production took 3 to 4 weeks on a budget of $1,200 to $2,000.
