Marketing Explainer for Blue Sky Bio BIO | ScrewTight: The Taper Lock in Cross-Section
Blue Sky Bio needed clinicians to see why its BIO | ScrewTight screw resists loosening, when the difference sits inside a crown. This marketing explainer cuts the crown open in 3D, replaces a "Square seat" with "Tapered screw head locks into tapered abutment", then swaps in third-party parts twice to show a "Compromised connection".

The problem: the part that stops loosening is hidden inside the crown
Blue Sky Bio's YouTube description explains the product in one line: "The taper lock shape helps prevent the screw from loosening by mating the matched conical head of the screw to the conical receptacle of the abutment." That difference is the shape of one small surface, inside an abutment, inside a crown, inside bone. No product photo can show it.
The claim also depends on both parts. The word in the description is "matched": the lock needs the tapered screw and the tapered abutment together. So the video had to open the crown, show the seat up close, and show what happens when one of the two parts comes from another maker.
How the BIO | ScrewTight video opens the crown, scene by scene
White callouts name every part and every result on screen, so the argument reads with the sound off. Select a time to play that scene above.
| Time | On screen | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| The BlueSkyBio.com logo builds on white with the line "Your Partner In Digital Dentistry". | Brands the video before the product. | |
| A crown on an implant in a cross-section of gum and bone. At 0:07 the crown turns clear, then it is cut open to show the abutment and screw inside. | Shows where the screw sits without losing the tooth. | |
| Two callouts mark the current design on the screw and the abutment: "Square head" and "Square seat". | Shows the seat shape the taper lock replaces. | |
| The 3 parts float apart, then the title "Introducing BIO | ScrewTight: BlueSkyBio's Anti-Screw Loosening Technology" names them: "Bio ScrewTight tapered screw (SRJH2)", "Blue Sky Bio abutment (ABJHNP)" and "Blue Sky Bio Implant (IJH4310)". | Names the product and the exact parts, with order codes. | |
| Back in the cutaway, the crown turns clear again and the view closes on the screw head: "Tapered screw head locks into tapered abutment" and "BIO | ScrewTight Screw", with a white circle on the seat. | Proves the core claim at the seat itself. | |
| The BIO | ScrewTight Screw in a "Third party abutment". A red circle marks the gap: "Compromised connection". | First mismatch: the right screw in the wrong abutment. | |
| A "Third party standard screw" in a "BSB Abutment", with the same red circle and "Compromised connection". | Second mismatch: the wrong screw in the right abutment. | |
| The matched set returns with "Blue Sky Bio abutment (ABJHNP)", "BIO | ScrewTight tapered screw (SRJH2)" and "Blue Sky Bio Implant (IJH4310)", then the BlueSkyBio.com logo on white from 1:16. | Ends on the combination that works. |
Storyboard: the frames that carry the Blue Sky Bio marketing explainer
Key frames from the finished video, in order. Select a time to play that moment above.

The crown turns see-through so the screw is visible without leaving the mouth.
The current design is named first, so the change has something to beat.
The title names the product and every part carries its order code.
The same see-through crown brings the viewer back into the mouth for the new screw.
The core claim lands on the seat itself, marked with a circle.
Mismatch 1: the right screw in another maker's abutment leaves a gap.
Mismatch 2: another maker's screw in the right abutment fails the same way.
The recap shows the matched set with all 3 order codes.
The video closes on the brand and its line for digital dentistry.
4 decisions behind the Blue Sky Bio marketing explainer
Decision 1
Show the old seat before the new one
From 0:12 the cutaway marks the current design: "Square head" on the screw and "Square seat" on the abutment. The product title only arrives at 0:24, after the viewer knows what it replaces.
Copy it: Label the design your buyer uses today before you introduce yours.
Decision 2
Make the crown clear, don't remove it
At 0:07 the crown turns see-through, then it is cut open while the screw stays in place in the gum and bone. The same fade returns at 0:32.
Copy it: When the part that matters is hidden, make the cover see-through so viewers keep their bearings.
Decision 3
Put the order codes on screen
At 0:24 each part carries its code: "(SRJH2)", "(ABJHNP)" and "(IJH4310)". They return on the assembled set at 1:12.
Copy it: Show the exact part numbers so a buyer can order straight from the frame.
Decision 4
Show both ways to mix the parts
At 0:52 the screw sits in a "Third party abutment" and at 1:04 a "Third party standard screw" sits in a "BSB Abutment". Both end in "Compromised connection".
Copy it: If your product works as a set, show each mix-and-match case and where it fails.
From implant part files to a labeled cutaway
- CAD conversion. The screw, abutment and implant were converted into 3D models from part files.
- Model preparation. A crown, gum and bone were built around the parts so the whole restoration could be cut in half.
- Material application. Titanium, crown, gum and bone were textured, and the crown was given a clear version for the reveal.
- Realistic lighting. The metal parts were lit so the edge of the seat reads in close-up against the dark background.
- Animation. The crown fade, the zoom to the screw head and the part swaps for the 2 mismatches were animated.
- Effects and callouts. The blue grid, the white callout lines and the red circles on each "Compromised connection" were added.
- Final edit. The scenes were cut to 1:20, opening and closing on the BlueSkyBio.com logo.
Scope of work:
Production took 3 to 4 weeks on a budget of $1,200 to $2,000. See the 3D video production service for how a project like this is scoped.
Questions about the Blue Sky Bio marketing explainer
How does the BIO | ScrewTight video show the taper lock?
From 0:30 the cutaway closes on the screw head, and from 0:36 the callout reads "Tapered screw head locks into tapered abutment", with a white circle on the seat where the 2 cones meet.
Why does the Blue Sky Bio video start with a "Square seat"?
From 0:12 to 0:21 two callouts mark the current design: "Square head" on the screw and "Square seat" on the abutment. It shows the flat seat first, so the tapered version at 0:36 reads as the change.
What happens in the video when the parts are mixed?
Two cases: the BIO | ScrewTight Screw in a "Third party abutment" at 0:52, and a "Third party standard screw" in a "BSB Abutment" at 1:04. Both get a red circle and the label "Compromised connection".
Which parts and codes does the video name?
"Bio ScrewTight tapered screw (SRJH2)", "Blue Sky Bio abutment (ABJHNP)" and "Blue Sky Bio Implant (IJH4310)" under the title at 0:24. At 1:12 they return on the assembled set, with the screw now labeled "BIO | ScrewTight tapered screw (SRJH2)".
Why is the crown see-through in the BIO | ScrewTight video?
At 0:07 the crown turns clear instead of disappearing, then it is cut open, so the screw is shown inside the abutment, the implant and the bone at the same time.
What did the Blue Sky Bio video take to make?
CAD conversion, model preparation, materials, lighting, animation, rendering, effects and a final edit. Production took 3 to 4 weeks on a budget of $1,200 to $2,000.
