Henkel
Henkel's video was crafted to visualize the closed-loop sustainability and circular economy compatibility of their advanced barrier coatings. Operating within the highly regulated consumer packaged goods sector, packaging must protect food freshness while meeting strict ecological mandates. Without transitioning away from complex multi-layer plastics, brands face severe regulatory penalties and mounting waste, making sustainable food packaging an operational necessity. To address this, our team aimed to show how replacing incompatible materials preserves product safety without sacrificing recycling efficiency.
We initiated the design process by mapping out a clean, high-contrast structural aesthetic that physically dissects the packaging architecture. This mono-material structural breakdown highlights a 3D peeling layout of a stand-up food pouch, systematically exposing distinct, stacked layers such as PE, adhesive, barrier coating, white ink, colored inks, and MDO-PE. Alongside this structural view, a circular arrow graphic illustrates how these unified layers route back into a closed-loop recycling flow. By isolating these components in a clean visual space, we ensure Packaging Engineers immediately grasp the technical feasibility and direct recycling value of the material transition.
Our animation strategy relies on smooth rotational shifts and vertical layer expansion to guide viewers through the chemical architecture without cognitive overload. This industrial solution explainer utilizes a minimalist, high-contrast design to ensure technical details remain clear and prevent viewer fatigue during complex sequences. By visually documenting the collaborative partnership between Henkel and Siegwerk, we establish industry-grade credibility and show a clear path to market compliance. Ultimately, Advids produced this narrative to project an authoritative technical tone that drives procurement confidence and inspires action toward modern recycling standards.
