ADVIDS Research screened 188 coded launch videos against a rule written before intake, and 95 qualified from 78 companies, dated by YouTube upload. Counts compare 52 videos from Q1 2026 with 43 from April to August 2026, and the coded dataset ships with the report.

How to read this report

95 enterprise AI launch videos from 78 companies qualified from 188 screened against a rule written before intake. Each introduces an AI product or capability to enterprise buyers, runs 0:20 to 4:00 and was uploaded to YouTube between 5 January 2026 and 3 August 2026.

A figure such as 7 of 43 counts launch videos, never frames. The window splits at the quarter boundary into 52 videos in Q1 2026 and 43 from April to August 2026; both bases travel with every figure.

A shift counts as a trend only when it moves at least 10 percentage points and involves at least 8 videos. Proportions on a base under 20 are written as counts.

Chapter 01 · Build · Live action

The camera stopped being where a launch video starts.

Companies in this group include SAP, Bloomfire, Cegid, Genpact, etc.

Chapter 02 · Surface · Captured interface

Captured product screens replaced animated mockups in AI launch videos

25 → 12Launch videos animating an interface without capturing it: 25 of 52 in Q1 2026, 12 of 43 from April to August 2026

  1. Screen capture of the product12 of 5217 of 43
  2. Interface animated, never captured25 of 5212 of 43

The two bars swap order: animated recreations led by 13 videos in Q1 2026 and trail by 5 from April.

Screen capture of the product appears in 17 of 43 enterprise AI launch videos from April to August 2026, up from 12 of 52 in Q1 2026. Videos that animate an interface without capturing it fall from 25 to 12. From April, the captured videos reach a product surface at a median of 0:08; the animated-only videos reach one at 0:20. Build codes are medium confidence for 5 of the 17 captured videos from April and 6 of the 25 animated-only videos in Q1 2026. The demo environment is now part of the production.

Companies in this group include OpenAI, Anthropic, Airia, AppsFlyer, etc. Without Anthropic and OpenAI in either period, the rise is still 11.8 points.

  1. Voiceover carries the video39 of 5225 of 43
  2. Music only, no voiceover13 of 5218 of 43

Voice still leads from April 2026, but its lead over music-only videos narrows from 26 to 7.

All 7 Anthropic and OpenAI launch videos published from April to August 2026 carry no voiceover. Across all 43 enterprise AI launch videos in that period, 18 run on music alone, against 13 of 52 in Q1 2026. 3. Kinetic type listed as a format18 of 529 of 43
  4. Kinetic type as the only format1 of 522 of 43

More videos use moving type and fewer list it as their format: the type is doing a smaller job in more places.

Kinetic type segments appear in 28 of 43 enterprise AI launch videos from April to August 2026, up from 26 of 52 in Q1 2026. Videos carrying title cards fall from 35 to 24, and videos listing kinetic type as a format fall from 18 to 9; videos built on kinetic type alone stay rare, 1 in Q1 2026 and 2 from April. Among videos that use it, kinetic type covers a median 38 per cent of runtime in Q1 2026 and 23 per cent from April. Type moved from title cards into the running picture.

Companies in this group include Google Cloud, Akto, Contentstack, LangChain, etc.

  • Apr to Aug 2026, n=43
  1. Closes on the brand logo card29 of 5232 of 43
  2. Closes on a title card10 of 524 of 43

Title-card endings also fall, by less than the floor; the logo gain is the finding.

32 of 43 enterprise AI launch videos from April to August 2026 end on the brand logo card, against 29 of 52 in Q1 2026. Endings on a title card fall from 10 to 4, a move under the 10-point floor. Music-only videos make up 14 of the logo endings from April, against 8 in Q1 2026. The final frame is the mark, not the words.

Companies in this group include Cequence Security, Deliverect, Dell Technologies, Doxis, etc.

Chapter 06 · Frame · Frame theme

Light frames gained as mixed light-and-dark AI launch videos dropped

18 → 7Launch videos mixing light and dark frames: 18 of 52 in Q1 2026, 7 of 43 from April to August 2026

  1. Light frames18 of 5222 of 43
  2. Dark frames16 of 5214 of 43
  3. Mixed light and dark frames18 of 527 of 43

Dark holds its place; the videos that stopped mixing light and dark grounds moved to light.

22 of 43 enterprise AI launch videos from April to August 2026 run predominantly light frames, up from 18 of 52 in Q1 2026. Videos mixing light and dark frames fall from 18 to 7, while dark holds at 16 and 14. Median frame brightness rises from 122 to 153 on a 0 to 255 scale. The measure is luminance across all nine sampled frames, not the product interface's theme, and the rise holds outside screen capture: among videos with no captured interface, 10 run light in Q1 2026 and 13 from April, on bases of 40 and 26.

Companies in this group include ElevenLabs, IBM, LangChain, Microsoft, etc.

What to do with this

  1. Chapter 05 If 32 of 43 enterprise AI launch videos from April to August 2026 end on the logo card, check what your own final frame carries before the export goes out.
  2. Chapter 04 If kinetic type now appears in 28 of 43, write the on-screen lines in the script draft rather than in the edit.
  3. Chapter 03 If the model labs dropped the voiceover while 25 of the other 36 launch videos kept one, watch your cut with the sound off and decide on voice from what you see.
  4. Chapter 02 If captured screens appear in 17 of 43, have the demo environment populated before the creative brief is signed.
  5. Chapter 01 If live action appears in 7 of 43, make the shoot day argue for its line in the budget.
