Product Advertisement Video for JUMO flowTRANS US: Ultrasound Made Visible
JUMO needed plant engineers to trust a flowmeter whose main advantage, ultrasound with no moving parts, cannot be seen from the outside. This product advertisement video gives each of the 8 benefits JUMO lists for its flowTRANS meter a 3D scene of its own: sonar rings in water, a see-through housing with nothing inside to wear, and a step-by-step fit into an existing pipe.

The problem: the best part of an ultrasonic flowmeter is invisible
JUMO lists 8 benefits for its ultrasonic flowmeter, from "precise measurement" to "IO-Link and JUMO digiLine (RS485)". Most of them rest on 2 things a buyer cannot see: ultrasound passing through the liquid, and a tube with no moving parts to wear out.
A photo of a blue box on a pipe proves neither. The video had to show sound moving through water, open the housing so the empty tube is in plain view, and show the meter going into a plant the buyer already runs.
How the video turns 8 benefits into 8 scenes
Each benefit line from JUMO's product list appears on screen word for word, and a lower third names the product throughout, so the video works with the sound off. Select a time to play that scene above.
| Time | On screen | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Dark water, the JUMO logo, then a dolphin sends out sonar rings under "Ultrafast and ultrasmart". The title "JUMO flowTRANS US series" follows with "Ultrasonic flowmeter for liquids". | Explains ultrasound with a picture before the product appears. | |
| 2 meters float in the water, labeled "W01" and "W02". The W02 has a display showing "12.345". | Shows the 2 versions in the series, with and without a display. | |
| The meter is wired to a control cabinet: "High degree of process reliability due to precise measurement". Then dosing tanks, a pipe rack and a wall panel: "Flexible use in different processes". | Places the meter in the kinds of plant a buyer runs. | |
| The housing turns see-through, liquid streams through the tube and a yellow trace pulses inside: "Reduced maintenance costs due to low-wear design without moving parts". | Proves "without moving parts" by showing the empty tube. | |
| "Uncomplicated integration into existing plants": 2 pipe ends, union nuts and seals line up, and the meter drops in between. | Walks through the fitting, step by step. | |
| A tank with a hazard sign feeds a line with the meter on it: "Can be used with corrosive media due to metal-free structure". | Ties the metal-free body to a real use: chemicals. | |
| "Cost reduction due to the long-life cycle of the measuring device and simultaneous measurement of up to 3 measurands" with 3 icons, "l/s", "bar" and "C°/ F". Then the digiLine and IO-Link logos: "Time and cost savings during configuration and integration in plants and sensor networks through IO-Link and JUMO digiLine (RS485)". | Shows what one meter measures and how it joins the network. | |
| A phone opens the smartCONNECT app: "With smartCONNECT app via Bluetooth". The dolphin returns with "Ultrafast and ultrasmart", then "JUMO More than sensors + automation". | Ends on setup from a phone, then closes on the opening line and the brand. |
Storyboard: the frames that carry the JUMO product advertisement video
Key frames from the finished video, in order. Select a time to play that moment above.

A dolphin's sonar rings explain ultrasound before the product appears.
The 2 versions side by side: W01 without a display, W02 with one.
The reliability claim, shown with the meter wired to a control cabinet.
"Flexible use" becomes 2 meters on dosing lines wired to a controller.
The see-through housing shows an empty tube: nothing to wear.
The meter sits between 2 existing pipe ends with union nuts.
The metal-free claim tied to a chemical tank.
One meter, 3 measurands: flow, pressure and temperature.
The network claim names both interfaces.
Setup moves to a phone with the smartCONNECT app.
4 decisions behind the flowTRANS US product advertisement video
Decision 1
Explain ultrasound with a dolphin
At 0:04 a dolphin sends sonar rings through the water before any product appears, and it returns at 1:28. The whole video stays in that underwater world, so "ultrasonic" never needs a diagram.
Copy it: If your product works on something invisible, pick one picture the buyer already knows and set the whole video inside it.
Decision 2
Make the housing see-through
From 0:34 the blue body turns clear and liquid streams through an empty tube under "without moving parts". The claim is proved by what is missing.
Copy it: When your selling point is an absence (no parts, no wear, no metal), open the product and show the empty space.
Decision 3
Use the spec list as the script
All 8 benefit captions match JUMO's product list word for word, one per scene, under a lower third that names the product.
Copy it: Write your benefit list first, then give each line one scene and keep the same words on screen and on the product page.
Decision 4
Show the fit, not just the finished pipe
From 0:48 to 0:59 the pipe ends, union nuts and seals line up before the meter drops in, under "Uncomplicated integration into existing plants".
Copy it: If buyers worry about installation, show each step of the fit in order, in their own pipework.
From JUMO CAD files to 8 benefit scenes
- CAD conversion and refinement. JUMO's engineering files for the W01 and W02 housings and the pipe fittings were converted into clean 3D models.
- 1 benefit, 1 scene. The script was locked to JUMO's 8 benefit lines, with the "Ultrafast and ultrasmart" slogan at the start and the end.
- Underwater world. Dark water, sonar rings and a dolphin were set up as the one backdrop that carries the ultrasound idea through every scene.
- Materials and light. The blue housing, a clear version for the inside view, white plastic pipes and the W02 display were textured and lit to read in close-up.
- Mechanism animation. The see-through tube, the pipe fitting sequence, the plant setups and the phone app screens were animated.
- Render, compositing and grade. Shots were rendered, then captions, the lower third, the measurand icons and the IO-Link and digiLine logos were composited and color graded.
- Edit and sound design. The scenes were cut to one benefit at a time, with sound built to pace each change.
Scope of work:
Production took 3 to 4 weeks on a budget of $1,200 to $2,000. See the Product advertisement video service for how a project like this is scoped.
Questions about the JUMO product advertisement video
Why does the JUMO flowTRANS US video open on a dolphin?
At 0:04 a dolphin sends sonar rings through the water under "Ultrafast and ultrasmart". The rings show sound moving through liquid, the idea the meter is built on, before the product name appears at 0:08.
How does the video show that the flowmeter has no moving parts?
From 0:34 the housing turns see-through and liquid streams through an empty tube under "Reduced maintenance costs due to low-wear design without moving parts". The buyer can see there is nothing inside to wear.
What is the difference between the W01 and W02 in the video?
At 0:12 both meters float side by side, labeled "W01" and "W02". The W02 has a display showing a live reading, while the W01 has none.
Which 3 measurands does the flowTRANS US video show?
From 1:08, 3 icons appear above the meter, labeled "l/s", "bar" and "C°/ F", under "simultaneous measurement of up to 3 measurands": flow, pressure and temperature.
How does the video cover fitting and networking the meter?
From 0:48 the meter is fitted between 2 pipe ends with union nuts and seals. At 1:14 the caption names "IO-Link and JUMO digiLine (RS485)", and at 1:20 setup moves to a phone "With smartCONNECT app via Bluetooth".
What did it take to make the JUMO product advertisement video?
JUMO's CAD files were converted and refined into 3D models, then textured, lit, animated, rendered, composited, edited, graded and given sound design. Production took 3 to 4 weeks on a budget of $1,200 to $2,000.
