Gangwon 2024
Gangwon 2024's video was animated to capture the massive physical scale and geographic reach of their operations. This production highlights the global winter sports environment, where failing to connect with a digital-native audience leads to stagnant spectator engagement and diminished ticket sales. Without a compelling narrative, the immense logistical and cultural effort behind the games risks being overlooked by a global audience. We aimed to bridge this gap by transforming a traditional sporting event into a high-energy cultural phenomenon.
Strategic framing anchors this Winter Olympics visual showcase in a design language that mirrors the social-first consumption habits of modern audiences. Our design team utilized high-contrast athlete portraits and quick-cut montages of figure skating and ice hockey, layered with interactive UI frames. By blending these modern digital elements with static shots of historic Korean architecture and local cuisine, the composition balances innovation with heritage. This structure validates the prestige of the event while maintaining a relatable, accessible aesthetic so that Spectators immediately grasp the diverse value of attending the games.
The motion strategy employs rhythmic, high-velocity transitions that sync with an upbeat tempo to maintain constant engagement. This cinematic event campaign utilizes a vibrant, high-saturation palette to reflect the energy of youth sports, while the fluid UI expansions guide the eye toward critical scheduling and ticketing information. By organizing complex event data into digestible, snackable visual segments, we reduced cognitive fatigue and created a sense of urgency. The final authoritative tone, developed by Advids, drives the call to action, establishing the games as a must-see global event.
