SSI
SSI's video is designed to guide viewers through the custom spatial coordination and integration of their marine engineering systems. In the demanding field of shipbuilding, spatial interferences between structural components and complex piping systems can stall entire production lines. Without a precise method for custom clash checking, marine engineering teams risk overlooking critical spatial conflicts, which directly translates to expensive shipyard retrofits and unplanned assembly downtime. Our design team focused on showcasing how targeted interference detection prevents these costly fabrication errors before construction begins.
We structured the static visual layout around the native CAD workspace to preserve a familiar operational environment for technical professionals. This CAD clash detection demonstration highlights high-contrast 3D piping layouts paired with clean, structured menu overlays that detail selection criteria. Our team isolated specific user interface elements, such as the Load Manager and XML criteria export options, so that Marine Engineers immediately grasp the efficiency of saving and reusing coordination parameters.
To illustrate the software's active performance, we animated realistic cursor navigation and progressive panel updates that reflect actual user operations. This technical platform feature walkthrough relies on a high-contrast dark mode aesthetic to route the viewer's attention directly to isolated piping components, reducing cognitive fatigue when interpreting complex assemblies. Advids designed the narrative pacing to mirror a live drafting session, establishing an authoritative tone that builds trust and encourages Naval Architects to optimize their coordination workflows.
