BHP Billiton
BHP Billiton's video was animated to capture the massive physical scale and geographic reach of their operations. Within the heavy industry and mining sector, establishing long-term trust is crucial for securing massive infrastructure investments. Without a clear demonstration of volume consistency, resource providers risk losing critical trade agreements, leading directly to operational stagnation. Our team designed this narrative to demonstrate how secure bilateral resource supply chains drive national industrialization.
We initiated the creative direction by blending archival monochrome photography with clean, hand-drawn vector art to structure this industrial partnership narrative. The static composition overlays historical imagery onto architectural sketch lines, depicting the flow of iron ore from remote Australian outback mines to deep-water shipping berths. We positioned historical trade documents and archival port footage inside floating panels that populate stylized urban environments. This structural layout strips away technical complexity, so that Global Industrial Partners immediately grasp the operational scale and systemic reliability of the supply chain.
To bring this motion design to life, the Advids team animated a continuous crimson path that routes through geographic terrains, representing the uninterrupted flow of raw materials. Our design team utilized this strategic brand retrospective to harmonize historic milestones with forward-looking corporate vision. The hand-drawn aesthetic paired with smooth camera pans reduces cognitive load while keeping the viewer anchored in the historical timeline. By concluding with bold Japanese calligraphic brushstrokes, the video's authoritative tone establishes deep cultural respect and reinforces long-term partnership commitments.
